Seek and Find
Scott Miker
I’ve noticed that there are many ways to gain insights in life. We can look to our mentors and those who accomplished what we strive for. We can explore and learn from experience.
Life has a way of teaching us. But we often miss the lesson because we aren’t looking for it. Instead of gaining wisdom, we push aside what we dislike in search for more enjoyment.
Most lessons come from those struggles. We don’t learn as much when life goes according to plan. The challenges are what push us in a new direction.
Therefore, we must be open to those lessons. We need to shift from trying to avoid the struggles to embracing the struggles. This will help us accept the discomfort to seek out the value from those experiences.
We all have blinders on throughout life. It is human nature and the way we are wired. But we can’t shift our focus. We can seek out more understanding and wisdom. We can remain open to life’s lessons to grow and improve.
Next time struggle finds you, don’t put the blinders on and ignore what life is trying to teach. Instead, embrace it and be grateful that you can take those obstacles and turn them into insight.
