It’s Just Time
Scott Miker
We live in a world that celebrates speed—microwaves, smartphones, and now AI give us answers, meals, and conveniences in seconds. It’s no wonder patience feels like a lost art.
But improvement? True, lasting growth? That still takes time.
Whether you're trying to get fit, build a career, or strengthen a relationship, the results don’t show up right away. And that’s where most of us struggle. We put in the effort, but when we don’t see instant progress, we get discouraged. We’re used to fast—but life-changing results don’t operate on that timeline.
There’s a quote from Aristotle that speaks to this: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”
That means the work matters—even when we don’t see the reward yet. It’s just time standing between where you are and where you want to be.
So keep going. Keep showing up. Be patient with the process.
You’re not failing. You’re just early.
