You Can't Surf from the Shore

"Standing at the edge of the ocean with a surfboard in my hand, I had two options. I could either resist my urge to pursue a life-long dream, or I could allow myself to go forward despite my self-imposed fears. This seemingly insignificant moment shaped the rest of my life."  You Can't Surf from the Shore uses a specific moment in the author's life to inspire the reader to follow their dreams. Whether the reader is looking for a career change or battling with anxiety and stress in their life, You Can't Surf from the Shore gives the reader insight to help them take the first step to a life of happiness and fulfillment. Bliss is available to everyone but most people resist the pull that will lead them on a path to contentment because of fear. There will never be an obstacle-free path, but having a willingness to move forward, despite potential risk, is necessary for improvement. Remember, you can't start a business as an employee, you can't play a concert from the audience, you can't steal second base with your foot on first and You Can't Surf from the Shore.

Turn Potential into Production

After reading countless books on motivation, I have found that they all seem to fall short in one area. They are incredibly effective at motivating the reader and convincing the reader to run through walls to succeed. The problem comes when they hit those first few walls. They realize that this will be difficult and probably not worth it in the end.  Instead of focusing on motivational quotes or inspiring pictures, I learned that there is a better way to stay motivated to accomplish goals. This book will discuss how to implement systems in our personal and business lives to be successful. By implementing systems we can devise a way to accomplish our goals “automatically.” Similar to habits, we can develop systems that we do automatically. Like our beating hearts and breathing lungs, we do incredible things almost by accident, without putting too much energy or stress into them. If they fail or seem to fall short in certain areas we don’t blame ourselves, we simply change the system!  Breaking a bad habit is difficult but if we realize that it is just a system we can break it down to find ways to change the system. We can start to develop positive habits to learn how to Turn Potential into Production!
